About Fay and Chii
Fay D Flourite is a magician from Celes country and using the power of one of Sakura’s feathers (or memory fragment) he was able to create a being by the name of Chii. Fay originally created Chii in order to protect the body of his late twin. In the first episode of Tsubasa and the second chapter, it appears that Chii and Fay are quite close and once Fay has sealed Ashura, who is the king of Celes, he asks Chii to tell him when the king awakens, before he departs on the journey. He seems to trust Chii a lot and always seems to treat her fairly.

During the Celes arc, we find out a little bit more about Fay’s past and the creation of Chii. As mentioned earlier, Chii was created from one of Sakura’s feathers in order to protect Fay’s twin. When receiving the feather, he decided that the feather should take the form of a person that will stay next to Fay’s twin forever. When Fay is slightly older, he is talking to Chii and is very friendly and kind towards her and Chii promises to Fay that she will never change.

In episode 32 of Tsubasa Chronicles, Fay encounters Chii in one of the worlds and he notices how lonely she is. Since she has the same looks as Chii but isn’t the Chii that Fay knows, Fay decides to take her out into town as she has never set foot anywhere other than the castle, as she was the queen of the town. Since she hardly knows anything, he teaches her some words and about the town life although, he knows deep down in his heart that it is not the Chii he knows but continues to help her in anyway he can. This episode shows how lonely Fay was before he met Sakura, Syaoran, Kurogane and Mokona and how good a companion and friend that Chii was before he met Sakura and co.
